Spa Ceylon and Shangri-La Colombo jointly host the ‘Wellness Month’ event series

Spa Ceylon, the world’s largest luxury Ayurveda wellness brand, is proud to extend its successful collaboration with Shangri-La Colombo for another year to launch ‘Wellness Month’, which is a series of wellness events taking place throughout June, scheduled around landmark days such as Global Wellness Day, and International Yoga Day celebrated during the month.

To mark the official launch of ‘Wellness Month 2024’, Spa Ceylon and Shangri-La Colombo held a press conference on 7th June 2024, at Shangri-La Colombo where Spa Ceylon Co-Founder and Managing Director Shiwantha Dias, Spa Ceylon Co-Founder and Director, Shalin Balasuriya, General Manager, Shangri-La Colombo, Herve Duboscq, and Director of Sales & Marketing, Shangri-La Colombo and Shangri-La Hambantota, Saharsh Vadhera, were in attendance.

“As a responsible global wellness brand, we believe wellness is not a pursuit, but a way of life.  Workplace wellness is one of our top priorities this year. We have been working with multiple corporates throughout the year, both to build awareness and to establish workplace wellness practices amongst corporates”, said Spa Ceylon Co-Founder and Director, Shalin Balasuriya. “In today’s fast-paced world, people are constantly bombarded with stimuli. Our holistic wellness practices, steeped in the 5000-year-old knowledge of Ayurveda life science, are a way of stepping away from the chaos of daily living to relax, refresh, and rejuvenate mind and body”, Balasuriya elaborated further.

Also addressing the gathering, Spa Ceylon Co-Founder & Managing Director, Shiwantha Dias said, “The Wellness Month aligns perfectly with our ongoing Global Wellness Tour, where we host curated, multi-sensory events across all continents, combining wellness practices and our award-winning product range. The tour kicked off in London and has taken us to the Czech Republic, Maldives, and Mauritius, while the next phase of the tour will be in Europe before continuing across Australia, Asia and North America”.

Based on the theme of ‘The Journey of Wellness in Motion: Entwined and Evolving Through Time’, the Wellness Month events celebrate wellness moments throughout the daily lifestyle and recognise that living well manifests in various aspects such as Strength, Agility, and Recovery. The lineup of this year’s exclusive wellness events includes the Peace Grounding Ritual, Ocean Ritual, and Forest Bathing Ritual taking place at external locations around the island, as well as the De-Stress Art Therapy, Sunrise Yoga, Sleep Therapy, and Multi-Sensory Dining experiences which will take place at Shangri-La Colombo.

Spa Ceylon has partnered with Shangri-La Colombo to offer this array of unique, multi-sensory wellness experiences that harness the beauty and serenity of nature, the human connection between body, mind, and soul, and the Spa Ceylon Luxury Ayurveda formulae. Combining all these aspects in its opulent surroundings, Shangri-La Colombo provides the ideal setting for the Wellness Month events to take place.
