Residents, Kalmune, keep the district secretary, Ampara, under house arrest for 2 hours

When Ampara District Secretary Chinthaka Abeywickrama arrived at the Kalmune Regional Sub-Secretary Office for a field trip yesterday morning (19), residents surrounded the office and kept him under house arrest for 2 hours.

They kept him under house arrest, saying that the distribution of resources among the people of that area is unfair.

After he promised to provide a proper solution to the problem, the crowd dispersed.
