Taking into account the earlier request of the Ceylon Electricity Board, the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has approved the increase in electricity tariffs today (20).
Accordingly,
From 0 to 30 units, the fixed fee is Rs. 150 and increases to Rs. 180. The price of an electricity unit in that category is 12 rupees.
The fixed fee for units 31–60 has increased from Rs. 300 to Rs. 360. In relation to that category, the price of an electricity unit is 30 rupees.
61–90 units between Rs. 400 and Rs. 480; 91–120 units from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 1,180; 121–180 units from Rs. 1,500 to Rs. 1,770; and if more than 180 units, Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 2,360 fixed charges have been increased.
