A special discussion will be held today (01) in Colombo between Tamil political parties of the North and the Indian High Commissioner.
The main purpose of this discussion is to inquire about the views and proposals expressed by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to President Ranil Wickremesinghe regarding the 13th Amendment to the Constitution, which the President has promised to provide as a solution to the North and East issue.
In the discussion held between Prime Minister Modi and President Wickremesinghe in New Delhi, the 13th Constitutional Amendment and the manner in which power has been decentralized to the Northern and Eastern Provinces were discussed at length; Indian High Commissioner Gopal Baglay had also been participated in these discussions.
As a result, the Indian High Commissioner has convened this discussion to inform Tamil political parties of the North, about the discussions held in India.
