The target was not an easy one for the Australians, who entered the field for the reply innings, because they were in a difficult position, falling 07 wickets within 91 runs. But Glenn Maxwell and Pat Cummins, who were steady in the field for the 7th wicket, saved Australia and led them to victory by building an unbeating partnership of 154.
Maxwell scored 201 runs in a solitary but quick innings.
It was recorded as the first double century by a batsman in this World Cup.
