B-Love Kandy won the championship in the final of the 4th edition of the LPL held between Dambulla Aura and B-Love Kandy yesterday (20) at the R. Premadasa International Stadium, Colombo.
Dambulla Aura won the toss and bat first, scoring 147 runs for 4 wickets at the end of the 20 overs, followed by Dhananjaya Silva, who became the highest scorer of the innings by scoring 40 runs.
The B-Love Candy players entered the field for the reply innings and Managed to pass the target by losing only 5 wickets in 19.5 overs. Kamindu Mendis led the innings by scoring 44 runs.
Angelo Mathews, who launched an attack at the last minute of the match, was awarded the Player of the Match, While Wanindu Hasaranga, who excelled both with the bat and the ball throughout the tournament, was awarded the Player of the Tournament.
