HUTCH Deepens Commitment to Sustainability with Adoption of Sirat NetZero Platform

HUTCH, one of Sri Lanka’s premier mobile networks, has partnered with Sirat2sustainability Pvt Ltd to integrate the Sirāt NetZero platform into its marketing operations. This strategic move further cements HUTCH’s reputation as a responsible corporate entity leading the way in sustainable development. The partnership marks a significant leap in HUTCH’s ongoing efforts to embed sustainable practices into its daily operations and reflects its dedication to minimising environmental impact.

Through the adoption of the NetZero concept, HUTCH aims to effectively measure, analyse, and reduce its carbon footprint, with a particular focus on its marketing activities. Accordingly, from January 2025, a dedicated team tracks and analyses data using the Sirāt platform to ensure accurate measurement of CO₂ emissions. This initiative was born out of HUTCH’s proactive approach to mitigating environmental risks and aligning its operations with global sustainability goals.

Commenting on the initiative, Mangala Bandara, General Manager – Corporate Affairs of HUTCH Sri Lanka, said, “Sustainability is an integral component of our strategy, and our partnership with Sirat2sustainability reflects this. Adopting the Sirāt NetZero platform allows us to take material steps towards reducing our carbon footprint, and also aligns with our vision of driving sustainable growth. Through the active integration of sustainable practices into our operations, we aim to lead the way towards a greener future.”

Mohammed Shafeeq – CEO of Sirat2sustainability Pvt Ltd said, “We are delighted to collaborate with HUTCH on their journey towards NetZero. Our platform is designed to provide actionable insights and deliver measurable outcomes, empowering HUTCH to achieve its sustainability objectives and contribute to a greener future for Sri Lanka.”

The partnership underscores HUTCH’s leadership in sustainable development and its focus on long-term environmental responsibility. Harnessing the capabilities of the Sirāt NetZero platform, HUTCH will now be able to drive impactful change, through a concerted reduction in emissions, and by fostering a more sustainability-conscious and environmentally-accountable culture across the organisation.
