Atlas SipSavi and Ridee Viharaya Continue 22-Year Legacy of Empowering Schoolchildren

Atlas, a leading learning brand in Sri Lanka, marked 22 years of impactful collaboration with the
Atlas SipSavi initiative and Ridee Viharaya, once again empowering over 50,000 Sri Lankan
schoolchildren by providing equal education opportunities. This year, Atlas Axillia Co. Ltd continued
its longstanding commitment by hosting the annual ‘Atlas SipSavi School Supplies Donation
Programme’ at the historic Ridee Viharaya recently, further advancing its mission to ensure that ‘No
child is left behind.’

This year’s program benefitted more than 3,500 rural students, equipping them with essential learning
resources to pursue education with confidence and enhance their abilities for brighter prospects. As
the flagship educational initiative of Atlas Axillia Co. Ltd, Atlas SipSavi continues to drive progress
in Sri Lanka’s learning sector, with this enduring partnership serving as a powerful testament to its
far-reaching impact.

Discussing the significance of the donation and the long-standing partnership with Ridee Viharaya,
Mr. Asitha Samaraweera – Managing Director, Atlas Axillia Co. Ltd stated, “Education is
fundamental to personal and societal progress, which is why we remain dedicated to ensuring that
every child, irrespective of their background, has access to the resources they need to learn and thrive.
Through initiatives like Atlas SipSavi, we are steadfast in our mission to ensure that ‘no child is left
behind’ in education, and I firmly believe we are making tangible strides towards achieving our vision
of equitable education for all.”

The handover ceremony was graced by esteemed members of the clergy, including Ven.
Thibbatuwawe Buddharakkitha Thero, Chief Incumbent of the Ridee Viharaya, along with other
respected dignitaries. The distribution of essential school supplies not only addresses the educational
needs of the children but also aims to reduce the financial burden on parents. Over the years, the
partnership between Atlas Sipsavi and the Ridee Viharaya has grown, enabling more students to
benefit from the initiative, and exemplifying Atlas Axillia’s commitment to community upliftment
and social responsibility. Initiatives Such as Atlas SipSavi are playing a key role in reducing school
dropout rates in Sri Lanka, particularly those driven by economic hardship.

Going beyond material provision, the initiative also instils hope, inspire students and their families,
whilst creating opportunities for future leaders to emerge. Committed to its purpose of making
learning fun, accessible, and enjoyable for all, Atlas Axillia continues to be a driving force in shaping
a brighter, more inclusive future for children in Sri Lanka.
