Imbalance in fuel prices

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CEYPETCO) has decided to raise fuel prices with effect from midnight yesterday (31).

As a result, the price of a litre of octane-92 petrol has increased by 13 rupees, totalling 361 rupees.

Also, the cost of a litre of Octane 95 petrol has been increased by Rs 42, and its new price is Rs 417.

35 rupees have increased a litre of Lanka white diesel, and a litre of Lanka super diesel has been increased by 1 rupee, and their new prices are 341 rupees and 359 rupees, respectively.

Meanwhile, Ceylon kerosene has also been increased by 5 rupees, and its new price is 231 rupees.

Thus, the IOC fuel prices will be increased in proportion to the increase in prices by CEYPETCO.
